When Hercules went to see Eurystheus, he told him he had another task for Hercules. This task was hard even for the glorious Hercules. The task that he asked him to perform was to live in a land where there was nothing but sand and creatures that lived in the sand. The creatures were ravenous, bloodthirsty beasts. They fed on the poor unfortunates that wandered into the desert. They didn’t need water to live only the blood of humans. No person had even dared going to the desert knowing what was living underneath the sand. Eurystheus told Hercules to go and kill one of the beasts and bring three of the teeth from the mouth of the beast. They say the teeth of the beast are one million times sharper than the sharpest sword. The beasts have five rows of teeth, each row having 3,376 teeth. On Hercules way to the desert he found a large wooden staff sticking out of the ground. One end of the staff had a sharp point. So Hercules picked it up and kept going. The moment he walked 100 feet into the desert a beast had come out of the ground in search of the human. Hercules saw the beast coming and grabbed the staff and ran toward the open mouth of the beast and was hoping he would get close enough that it would stab into him or injure. He stuck it into the open mouth of the beast, choking it to death. Next Hercules had to use his metal sword to get three of the teeth out. He took them to Eurytheus. That was Hercules last labor.

Kissa's Find
In the mountains of Silta there was a small family of mountain lions. The mother had just given birth to two small cubs. First a boy and then a girl. She named the eldest Vahva and the younger Kissa. Vahva was strong and courageous and loved to go out hunting with his mother but Kissa was small and didn’t grow much and had stayed the same size she was when she was only five months old. She loved to sleep most of the day and liked to hunt for only small prey and was disgusted in the way her mother and brother could eat an elk and deer.
Kissa loved to explore and one time while her brother and mother left to hunt she had walked farther than usually and had come upon a small village with children playing in the street. Kissa sat and watched. Kissa had never seen anything like it before but had her mother warning never to get too close to the village, because there were evil things that would hurt you if they thought you were too close to them. Kissa didn’t think anything evil of them at all though.
She was so lost in thought that she didn’t notice the girl that had come up from behind her. The little girl could have been no more than five or six years old. They just stood and stared for a while and then all of a sudden the girl was grinning and reaches down and was running her hand across Kissa’s back. Kissa became very happy that this girl was not going to hurt her. The little girl stood up and ran back to her house and came back not too long after with an older woman and a bowl of something that looked white like the snow at the top of the mountains near Kissa’s home. The little girl placed the bowl in front of Kissa. The woman and the little girl just watched. Kissa being very curious sniffed at the white stuff and it smelled very good. She stuck her tongue out and dipped it into the white stuff and discovered that it was creamy and delicious. Soon the bowl was empty and the woman bent down and picked it up. They spoke in a way Kissa didn’t understand. The woman reached down and picked Kissa up very gently and cradled Kissa in her arms and then started walking back to the village with the little girl. They walked into a house and placed Kissa down on a soft, warm, and very squishy surface. Kissa liked it very much and eventually fell asleep. When she woke up the little girl was lying next to her with her hand lying on Kissa’s stomach. Kissa loved the little girl and her mother. They started calling her Cat. Kissa didn’t know why but she didn’t mind and liked the name. She never saw her mother and brother again but she was happy and she was sure they were too and so she never left the small village.
